Rare and highly charming Japanese advertising poster promoting Mitsuya Cider (三ツ矢サイダー), Japan’s most famous and long-running carbonated soft drink brand, dating to the pre-war Shōwa period, circa 1930s.

The composition depicts two small children climbing on a chair trying to reach bottles of Mitsuya Cider, with empty bottles and a glass already on the seat — a playful, narrative scene that captures childhood curiosity, mischief, and desire. The artwork is executed in a painterly, soft yōga (Western-style painting) technique, typical of high-end Japanese commercial illustration of the interwar period.
