Kiyochika Kobayashi's "Night at Nihonbashi Bridge" represents a significant achievement within his celebrated "Famous Views of Tokyo" series, an ambitious 93-print project spanning 1876–1881 and issued collaboratively by publishers Matsuki Heikichi and Fukuda Kumajirô.
